My name is Julie Caroe and at the moment I live in the southern part of Denmark. In the summer of 2005 I finished my Teacher education and now work in the Danish Folkeskole.
Kerry Blue Terriers has been my passion since our first Kerry entered the life of my family. Sisse (DKCH LP1 Blåskæg’s Molly Malone) came to us in June 1992 and in 1995, Mads (DKCH LP1 Blåskæg’s Jet-Z) came into our lives. Both Sisse and Mads have done it in the show ring and in obedience. I have used both dogs in junior showmanship and became number four in The Danish Kennel Club, together with Mads, in 1997. In November 2003 we had to say our last goodbyes to Sisse (12 years old) – what a day! She had been ill for a short period of time and of in the morning of November 12th we made the extremely hard decision it was to call the Vet. Sisse was to enter the Rainbow Bridge from her home and not from the Vets clinic – we couldn’t do that to her. I wrote her a letter not many hours after her goodbye and it can be found on the page “Sisse”. After this very hard day, we suddenly “only” had one dog. I was ready to have a new Kerry but my parents weren’t sure – I wasn’t to live at home for ever and then what? I have for many years dreamt of having my own kennel and now the chance was there. I had some money in the bank and what could be better than to buy my own dog? My parents thought that this was alright as long as I take the dog with me, when I move out. Where to get the right dog? I have, for as long as I can remember, loved the Kerries of Mia Lundsten’s Kennel Geijes in Finland. I send her a mail and asked her if I could buy a puppy girl from her? I could and February 21st Tara (multi ch Geijes Tally-Ho) gave birth to five healthy puppies – two boys and three girls. The proud sire is S CH Clanciarrai Solo. The first weekend of May, Anette (Kennel Blåskæg’s) and I went to Finland to bring home my tiger (her name is Tia but she sounds like a tiger!). Now one year and seven month later I have a beautiful 22 month old girl who has a fantastic temperament, is turning gray and is sure to keep us all smiling. On top of that Tia is now also Danish Champion and Kerry of the year number three.
January 2006: I am now the owner of the FCI approved prefix ”Eternal Blue”.
This was a bit about me and my dogs – please feel free to take a tour around my homepage.
